"I’m telling you for the last time" est le titre du dernier spectacle de Jerry Seinfeld, dans lequel un microphone est utilisé comme accessoire emblématique du stand-up, et où un tabouret et un verre d’eau s’invitent comme éléments supplémentaires du décor, alors qu’il ne fait usage du dernier qu’à une seule reprise.
L’artiste a reconstitué ces éléments en plaçant sur le tabouret un verre d’eau rempli à ras bord. Celui-ci s’écoule à l’aide d’un système de goutte à goutte tout en restant toujours plein.
Dans ce spectacle, alors que c’est pour la dernière fois, Jerry Seinfeld garde la même puissance et la même intensité jusqu’à la fin. Il en est de même pour ce verre d’eau qui s’égoutte tout en gardant le même volume, et qui doit être quotidiennement rempli, alors que c’est tous les jours pour la dernière fois.

The artist has re-created these elements by placing a glass of water filled to the brim on the stool. Water runs out of the glass with a drip system, but the glass always stays full.
In this show, which is being staged for the last time, Jerry Seinfeld keeps the same power and intensity to the very end. The same goes for this glass of water which drips while keeping the same volume, and has to be refilled every day, though it is every day for the last time.
